“Step into a world of soft stitches, blooming stories, and quiet enchantment.”

Hello, friend—and welcome. I’m so grateful you’ve found your way here. Hex & Hook is more than just a collection of plushies and handmade treasures. It’s a piece of my heart, a bit of healing, and a whole lot of magic stitched into yarn.
I first learned to crochet when I was about ten years old. My grandmother—kind, creative, and full of quiet magic—taught me on long summer days at her house. I remember pretending to be a fairy in her backyard, where everything was blooming and felt enchanted. It’s one of those childhood memories that glows golden in my mind.
For many years, crochet slipped away from me. Life moved, I moved, and that magical rhythm of looping yarn into joy faded into the background.
In 2024, in a moment when my life felt heavy and uncertain, I picked up a hook again. My daughter-in-law had spent the night at our home, recovering from a chemotherapy treatment, and I needed something to help ground me through the chaos and worry. Crochet became my lifeline. In each stitch, I found comfort. In every creation, a little light.
That’s where Hex & Hook was born. I wanted a name that felt magical and whimsical—something that could hold both the softness of handmade art and the wonder of enchanted stories. Each piece I make is filled with love. There’s this moment, when the details come together and a face begins to form, where I feel like I’m not just making a plushie—I’m welcoming a little spirit into the world. It’s a feeling I cherish every time.
When someone holds one of my creations, I hope they feel the love I poured into it. I hope it brings whimsy to their heart, joy to their spirit, and maybe even a little spark of magick to their everyday life.
This blog will be a place for stories, behind-the-scenes peeks, musings from the world of Hexmere, and the inspiration that fuels my craft. Thank you so much for being here, and for letting a piece of my heart live in your world.
With love and stitches,
🧶✨ Jamie
